Working with Dad!

Ellie loves working with Dad in the yard! She is a really big help and she is learning a lot. It is really cute to watch them out there together. She is sooooo much like her Dad in so many ways!

Tulips

So I will start this post by saying we really shouldn't have gone to the Tulip festival. But since we did I do have to enjoy the pictures I got. Jack has been having problems with his allergies. In the past his allergies really only affected his eyes and gave his some congestion. Well since his bout with pneumonia and an asthma attack this fall the allergies seem to affecting the asthma. We found out he has a severe grass allergy(and you park in a big grass field at the Tulip festival). So he wasn't feeling great but he really wanted to go and then as soon as we got there things got worse. I had his inhaler but it wasn't enough. I carried his a lot because when he tried to walk he started coughing. So we didn't stay long, long enough for him to throw up and Ellie to cry because she was so disappointed she didn't get to do any of the activities. We felt like great parents at that point, but I got my pictures and we have quite a memory!

I was really sore the next day after carrying him so much. Lucky for me he is small for his age.

She looks so pretty!

You can tell he doesn't feel good

It was a gorgeous day which I actually didn't like because it was much more crowded than in year's past. I think we need to go on a rainy day!

Ellie loves to catch!

Right now Ellie is 4 games into her season in AAA softball. Catcher is her favorite position and she is playing at least 2 innings of catcher in every game. She is built for the position with very strong legs and arms and a tough determination! She is good and continuing to improve at every game. After the first game her legs were really sore but you can already tell she is getting conditioned. Her last game she and the pitcher got two girls out stealing home which was a big confidence boost for her. We are so proud of you Ellie!

Tee Ball

Jack is playing his second year of tee ball. I love tee ball and am a little sad this will be my last year watching the games. I love the innocent enthusiam! Jack is having a great season and is definitely on of the best on his team. He probably could have moved up a level but since he is little and a perfectionist we thought this would be good for him. Now he will be full of confidence next year. At this point in the season he has already made two outs. He always knows what is going on, he just needs to develop a little more upper body strength. Great job Jack!

With his great friend Kian!
He knows what to do!

Jack's party

Jack had his party at Pietros pizza. He also had his 5th birthday party there. He had six boys from his school. The kids got tokens and Jack his the jackpot for tons of tickets. Then Doug and my cousin Peter played lazer tag with kids. We had pizza and cake. Jack got lego sets and Zsu Zsu pets just like he wanted. He had a great time!

He made sure we had the decorations for the party including the beaver centerpieces!

So excited about all their treasures!
They love lazer tag

Jack is 7!

April 11th Jack turned 7 years old! His birth was extra memorable because we were expecting a girl. Obviously he wasn't a girl and he has been full of surprises ever since. He was a difficult baby but grew into an easy toddler(most of the time). He is a VERY strong willed boy, but is very well-behaved in school. He is very smart. Right now he loves legos and Zsu Zsu pets. He also loves the Portland Trailblazers, Boston Celtics, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oregon State Beavers. In fact his birthday party had a Beaver theme. He is a great kid! We love you Jack!

He was so excited to get his very own DS.

EASTER

We had Easter dinner on Saturday night at my mom's house. Martha and Wayne came and so did a good friend of my mom's. The kids were still in their uniforms and were excited to show those off. They hunted for eggs and got a big box of goodies from Nana. The next morning they were very excited to hunt for eggs. We had a big family breakfast and a very relaxing family day.

Zsu Zsu pets for the kids to share!
The Easter bunny brought the Wii nerf game!

They loved these eggs you put in water and watch a pet hatch out of

Opening ceremonies

So Little League opening ceremonies are REALLY boring and it is obvious they are planned by men. But I get a cute picture of my kids and see lots of friends and students.

Funny, both kids have the same colors this year, AND
The same number!
Jack is right next to Kian, we think it is pretty funny that a t-ball team is named the Brewers!
Jack and his good buddy Kian
Ellie and her good friend Antonia (Antonia and Kian are brother and sister)

The Volcanoes mascot Crater was there also!

Easter Eggs

We squeezed dying Easter eggs in on Thursday night. April is a really busy month with baseball/softball season in full swing and Jack's birthday. We had a lot of fun and made some beautiful creations!
