Spring Break Fun

2011 Spring Break has been a blast. We never go anywhere big but always manage to cram a lot of fun into one week. I have pictures of some of our fun and some will just live on in the memories ;) This week we: went swimming at the Kroc center, kids had a sleepover with Nana, went to a Blazer game, went swimming with friends, played softball and baseball, the girl's went shopping, went tubing at the Autobahn, stayed the night in Sisters, fed the llamas, Ellie went skiing, had friends over for a sleepover. We will end this fun week going to see the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie with our friends. What a great week!

Basketball season is over

Obviously Jack's team did not have a photographer like Ellie's did. And we have found pictures in the gym the hardest to get. But at least I have a few pictures to remember Jack's season. He did a great job. He is an animal on defense! He was able to quite a few baskets also. And of course he loved that his team was so good. He was always keeping track of the score and ready to tell you his team's record.

Basketball season is over

I guess I have gotten really behind on blogging since it is the end of Spring Break and I am just getting to the end of b-ball. But here it is. These pictures are amazing. One of the dads on Ellie's team has an incredible camera. I cannot believe the pictures he can take. The lens is about 2 feet long. He made an individual album for each girl. Ellie really improved this season. She has great defense and was able to make some offensive plays toward the end of the season. Most of all she has a really fun time with the girls and gets great exercise. I am very proud of her attitude and effort!

President's Day weekend

Oh what a weekend! So the story starts the week before when Ellie starts to get sick and then I get it. Some kind of bad virus, sore throat, body aches, fever, cough, congestion and other yucky stuff. Well I should have just cancelled our President's day vacation but we thought it can't last that long. Wrong, and then the boys got sick. By the time we realized how bad off we all were it was too late to cancel. So we headed off to the cute cabin with Ellie and I just starting to feel better, but not great and the boys really sick. We went to this same place last year and were really looking forward to going again. They even had lots of snow on this trip. Well, we made the best of it and managed to have some fun. By Sunday Ellie was ready for a 1/2 day of skiing. She was still begging for a full day, even though it sounded like she was coughing up a lung. She loved being on the mountain and we promised to bring her back over spring break. She is getting to be a good little skiier. She even made a friend in ski school and the two girls went on the beginning runs when ski school was over by themselves. That made me a little nervous but I guess you have to let them grow up some time. We definitely created a family memory, but it was not the best vacation for the Dacars.
