Great Wolf

We went up to Great Wolf Lodge for a night during spring vacation. We met up with our good friends the Fultons and Hakalas. We had all gone there together almost 4 years earlier. We decided Great Wolf is like Vegas for kids and the kids definitely had a blast. We spent a ton of time in the water; going down slides, the wave pool, playing basketball etc. There was also an arcade that the kids enjoyed. We all went out to dinner at the restaurant together. The parents were able to even enjoy a cocktail in between slide rides. We managed to Jack to enjoy Alberta Falls, but not the bigger slides. It was a great trip. On checkout day we stayed until 8:00. That was a long day but knowing how much fun the kids had made it all worthwhile!!

Overnight in Sisters

After snow in the valley we headed to tons of snow in the mountains and absolutely beautiful weather. We started at the Autobahn sledding hill at Hoodoo for several hours of great sledding. It was so warm we started shedding our layers. Then we went to our hotel and got into the hot tub. Doug even showed the kids how to make snow angels and then jump into the hot tub. The next day we went back to Hoodoo so Ellie could ski. She LOVES skiing and is getting really good. She took a lesson in the morning and then headed up some runs by herself. She had a cell phone and did great. We all played in the snow and played a little air hockey(a family favorite). We had a great little mini trip and a fun way to kick off Spring vacation!

Spring Break starts with SNOW

Spring Break started a day early for me due to a late March snow storm. We haven't had any really good snow for several years so it seemed crazy that we finally had a good accumulation in March. We went to the park by our house that fills with kids during snow days. They had fun in a snowball fight. We decided to stick with the snow theme and head to the mountains the next day for sledding and skiing.
