Christmas

My Christmas post in June!  I promised myself I would get it done before July so yeah for me.  I think this is just a sign of how crazy life has become, but I don't want to forget about all our fun times.  We had an early Christmas celebration with Wayne and Martha who were headed back east for Christmas.  Then Christmas Eve in Dallas with my mom.  On Christmas morning we woke to see what "Santa" brought, yes the gig is up.  Then big breakfast with my mom and down to visit the Fultons.  We spent a fun day catching up and even brought Sam back to our house for a sleepover.  Memories made and fun for all, including Brownie who got her very own present from Wayne and Martha.

Fluffball

The kids were really upset about Mochy dying so they headed right over to Petco and found Fluffball.  They were so excited for me to meet him and as you can see Ellie adores him!

Christmas Tree

We headed over to my mom's place to get a tree for both of us.  It was a really sad day because the pet guinea pig had died the night before.  We used the distraction of the tree to try to cheer the kids up.  They had already got a new guinea pig the night before while I was away on a girl's night.  So after getting the tree we helped Grammy get her tree set up and went home to pay our respects to Mochy.  Then we got to decorating.  Funny, I didn't take a picture of the finished tree but Jack got a picture of his Lego advent calendar that he was very excited about!

Working in the wetlands

Ellie could not be in a more perfect school.  Her school has a strong science base with an emphasis on environmental concerns.  This leads to lots of working outside in any kind of weather.  I took an afternoon to supervise some work in the wetlands and their fundraiser was planting in the wetlands.  She is more than happy to get out there in any conditions.  This is her best friend at school, Dylan.

Thanksgiving

We headed down to Junction City for Thanksgiving.  My cousin JoEllen and her husband were here from Colorado.  We had a yummy dinner and Ellie was excited to try shooting.  A BB gun is on her Christmas list.  It was nice to catch up with family.
