State Fair
On Labor Day we went to the state fair for our last bit of summer. It was $1.50 ride day so we thought it would be a great ending to summer. We started at the rides. Jack was more adventurous this year. And Ellie was so nice to accompany him on little kid rides. They did 10 rides and we all did the Ferris Wheel together(did you like it Doug?) We had yummy fair dinner, corn dogs, chicken strips, Subway, and curly fries. We looked at the animals, loving the baby pigs. We got ice cream and looked at the hot tubs(it's nice to dream). We went to watch roller derby. This was fun because Jack's kindergarten teacher is a derby girl. She wasn't skating but we got to say hi. After looking around a little more we had to get funnel cake. We loved that and finished it quickly. The last event was to ride the chair lift. We had never done that before. What a great view of the fair! It was so much fun to just see everything from above. Then after spending $130.00, 7 hours and with aching feet we went home. The kids were already talking about to do there next year. I love the fair!
Tiger rollercoaster, Jack was soooo scared but he did it. Afterwards he said he didn't like it, but later when we left the fair he said it was his favorite ride.
