The tradition in our family has always been on your actual birthday you get to choose where we will have dinner for that night. We spent a lot of years going to McDonalds on their birthdays but we are happily leaving that phase. Now the problem is you can't count on a free night. Ellie started her first All Star practice on her birthday dinner and the meeting for All Stars was the night before. So we had birthday dinner two days before her birthday after swimming lessons(that's why her hair is wet). I guess this is just a sign of things to come. We went to the Roadhouse for dinner and miniature golf. Ellie got her card from Grammy which included a 50 dollar bill. She was so excited. She used to be our spender but now she saves and she has well over 100$. We had a great evening.
Wow -- can you believe you have a 10-year-old? I'm sure it goes by so quickly that you can't believe it's been 10 years!
