Camping continued......

We had a great camping weekend.  The weather was a little overcast(and believe it or not Jack and I still managed to get sunburned) but that didn't stop the fun.  The campfire discussions were even funnier to me or maybe I am just easier to get laughing as I get older.  Even though Julie would love for us to stop this camping tradition it is a good time.  The kids LOVE it!

Camping 2009

So this first post will be smaller because I don't have all my pictures on my computer yet.  I am new to blogging.  Thanks to my great friend Julie I now have a blog page.  We took our annual camping trip to the beach.  We have been camping with the Hakalas and Fultons since we were young newly married couples.  Needless to say the trips have gotten bigger with the addition of lots of kids and the McCartheys.  We always have a blast once we are settled.  Getting there takes a lot of work but it is worth it, right Julie??  I will add more later.

Legoland 2009

This was Jack's dream to go to Legoland! Our first day was overcast and their was a slight sprinkle so according to Californians this was awful weather. It was nice for us because it wasn't very crowded which was a really nice change from Disneyland! The kids loved Legoland. Our second day there was Father's day and Max's birthday! After Legoland we headed back for a couple for days at Disneyland. Then it was time for the marathon all nighter drive back to Oregon. What a great trip!!

Disneyland 2009

We had the trip of a lifetime this summer! We drove with our best friends the Fultons! We had 3 adults and 4 kids in a van for 17 hours. The kids did great and we adults were exhausted but loved seeing the smiles on the kids' faces. We made it to Disneyland for Ellie's 9th birthday. After a couple days in Disneyland we also went to Legoland. It really was a trip full of memories! We are so lucky to have such good friends to go on this trip with.
