Swimming and more SWIMMING

Swimming is a big part of our summer. Ellie has always been a little fish, but Jack has been a little more reluctant. But this week he has really taken off. He has been taking lessons at the Courthouse and Ellie is continuing swim team at the pool in Keizer. It is neat to see Jack enjoying his time in the pool so much.

This was Ellie's second swim meet(she missed the last meet because of a toe infection.) She swam so much better and her dives are really looking good. I think she will be a better long distance swimmer. She has great endurance. We are really proud of her because she swims much better than Doug or I ever did.

I had to be a timer for this meet, which is harder than it looks. Mostly because it was 89 degress and you stand in the sun for 2 1/2 hours and have to pay attention the whole time. Boy the things we do for our kids!
